One slight disagreement here, let me explain. To be "The Divided States of America" presumes we will always be a singular country with State rights. Historically, people of all nations have mostly been ruled by singular governments with authoritative power. The United States was the outlier. Historically, an anomaly. Is it not possible we are witnessing the "resetting" of the United States to fall back into historical norms - going back to an authoritarian government that rules us all?
Whether this includes all states, or if wars break out that will divide the US into a handful of smaller countries (or parts are taken over by other opportunistic countries) remains to be seen. But the current climate, history, and the tribal nature of humans certainly hints that remaining unified will be an increasingly difficult task.
