Part of the problem now

We have manufacturing jobs unfulfilled now. According to Mike Rowe, we have a million or more Trade jobs unfulfilled.

I'd love to see more manufacturing here, but who's willing to do it?

This is because kids are being bombarded with the thought that they NEED college to get a job. This 4 year college bullshit is fucking up the system. We NEED [people to work with their hands, build, repair, DO things. As a mechanic and a fabricator, I am totally disgusted by this disposable goods society we have built.

Dear Greg T:

That seems like a valid observation.

Well, it seemingly looks like younger gen Z ers are on board with not going to college. And yes, you have valid observations. But that doesn't magically fill the current jobs currently open. Lets just say these tariffs do bring 2-3 million jobs here. It's going to be artificial because none are going to get filled. We have several auto plants here and everyone who's signing up for the plants is in their mid to late 30's. On top of that, the plant is slowing BECAUSE of tariffs. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

On a different but similar note, most of these right wing talking heads who are on board with getting stuff American made (all over twitter, podcast, etc...) all sell merchandise where the clothes are all made overseas and embroidered or screen printed here. There is no reason they can't be made here. There are American companies here that make hoodies and t-shirts. Hypocritical.

For example, Jennifer Sey and Riley Gaines' company XX_XY brand all have their stuff made overseas, and Riley Gaines just a few weeks ago was telling people to buy American Made. Sorry, but that falls on deaf ears if your own shit ain't made here. Considering Jennifer Sey used to work at Levi Strauss, I'm sure she could have found American Companies.

The methamphetamine crisis is crippling the entire country. If children are not raised with morals and values – they will turn to drugs as adults.. Then, they will be unable to pass a drug test for a job.
