Re: Hi Everybody! Remember me? What happened to this site?

The pms club drove all the good posters away, and user Greg T took all the freaks with him to AllBowling.com

It is truly remarkable how it all imploded. There are people that exist in this world that still, STILL......to this day feel the need to post like what is in the OP. All we ever needed was a couple of veterans (to which I volunteered my services) to mod for obvious trolling. I'm fine w/differing opinions (I would never axe someones honest opinion, even if wrong b/c it will be logically destroyed and it's fun that way) but more to keep the real muck out.

I spoke with Scodaddy at great length all the while the big battles were raging. I'd know him since the site was launched. He would not accept any help and could not care less of what was posted. It really pissed me off because before I was dragged into it I offered to assist the clean up, as I did with the GG explosion. He never gave me any clue as to their pending closure of the forum. The part that got me pissed the most is that they knew I could no longer bowl and had no real use to post in the bowling forums, but had no problem at all with taking away the only forum I had left on the site after being there for about 15 years or so, AND paying for membership back in the day. Anyhow, water under the bridge now. It took them months and months to rid the site of the GG wars and I did it here in a couple of weeks.

I don't know why he had that attitude Greg, I honestly don't.

Well, I can them becoming weary of the battles. i'll be the first to admit that they were completely out of hand and should never have escalated as they did. I'll also be the first to admit that I played my part in the mayhem. But when I seriously speak to someone I'd known since day 1, offer a hand at the clean-up and then without warning be shut out from a forum I paid a membership to.....well, it doesn't matter anymore. Plus, I did invite everyone over to join us. Only the pigheaded refused. I extended my hand again last week. No response.

Looking back, nobody was ever happy. It was non-moderated, and people bitched. They moderated it, and people bitched (I think this was about the time Tony started AB, but I could be mistaken). BR went back to non-moderated and people bitched and the trolls got it shut down.

I think they simply got tired of listening to people bitch no matter what they did. And the non-bowling section was such a raging dumpster fire at the time, it was just easier to shut it down and walk away than it was to fix it.

But whatever, we here now... where are the titty pics? ;)

I recall Kennedy well. He was originally brooksguru ... He tried to start some "s" with me approx 3-4 months ago on BR and I simply ignored him and didn't respond to anything he posted. Steven stepped in and supported me and Kennedy then shut-up. Kennedy and Paul Dennis were 2 of the biggest asses on that site along with a 3rd person that got banned umpteen times, yet kept coming back. Those 3 are the main ones responsible for the misc forum getting shut down. Had it not been for those three, I think the non-misc forum would still exist today, but since I have joined this site, I like this misc forum way better than I ever did the one on BR. No fighting here as everyone seems to get along really great. I have to thank Greg T for talking me into coming to this site.

I logged in over there, last week. I had a 'PM' from Aug 29. It came from a "WV Bully". Others also received it. It asked if we here were happy with the gay marriage decision. Still obsessed with us and this site. My biggest issue was how some "vets" sided with brooks/kennedy, etc. I like the laid back atmosphere here. Plus the pics "lolz"

You're very welcome, Brick. You're a definite asset to the site and I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking so.

I did not know that Kennedy was Brooksguru. I think I had Brooksguru on my Ignore List at BR a couple of times. I would put someone on and then later remove them to see if anything had changed. Second chances and all. :)

I think I had Greg T on it at one time too. Probably because of one of the 'epic battles'. :)

The battles were "epic".

I'm sure there will be a small part of a chapter on them when I write my memiors.

The battles were certainly epic!! No question about that. BUT!!! Most of us did come together against the GG crew. We had a pretty united front at that time. There were a few that hung around and then the huge battles began. I'm not sorry they locked up the place. Had they not, those battles would probably still be going.
